| Duties: |
Provide front-line reception and clerical support within the Disability Services office. Deal sensitively and appropriately with students with a wide range of conditions. Maintain confidentiality and disseminate correct information during contact with students, various agencies, government and the general public. Book appointments and meeting rooms, and assist with maintaining paper and electronic filing systems using a database and Excel. Assist with the production of newsletters, announcements and brochures in collaboration with other departmental employees. Sort and distribute incoming mail, release cheques, receive/reconcile receipts, photocopy and send faxes. Maintain office supplies inventory. Work effectively as a team member. |
| Required Qualifications: |
One-year certificate in Office Administration, Applied Business Technology, or equivalent, from an appropriately accredited institution. One to three years directly related experience. An acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to deal with a wide variety of people with tact, diplomacy and patience. Proven ability to work effectively on simultaneous tasks and pressure of working to meet deadlines while dealing with constant interruptions. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office and Publisher. 45 wpm typing speed. Basic business math skills. |
