What will the intern do in my business?

• The intern will perform everyday business functions, conduct research around business challenges or a combination of these

What kind of support does VIU provide me and the intern?

• Vancouver Island University's Internship Coordinators will provide ongoing support for employers and monitor the intern's progress

When does the internship start?

• An employer could support an intern from either July - October or from November - February

How long is the internship?

• It is scheduled for 16 weeks, however there is some flexibility allowed

How much paperwork will I have to do?

• Minimal. There will only be an internship agreement and a mid-term and final evaluation

Can we have more than one intern?

• Yes

After the internship, can I hire the intern(s)?

• Yes

What will it cost me?

• Compensation to the intern for their work is extremely flexible
