School's Out Road Trips
Jump on the VIU bus to take learning on the road to explore natural science education with other central Vancouver Island organizations. Different topics each trip, great experiences every trip.

February 27 - VIU Cowichan Campus green building tour & session with First Nation Artist & Storyteller
March 14 - Alberni Valley Museum - Grasses and Cedarbark, lives of Nuu-chah-nulth people
March 21 - Courtenay and District Museum and Palaeontology Center - fossiling at Puntledge River
March 30 - VIU's Deep Bay Marine Field Station: marine specimen beach survey and collection, field station lunch (provided) and laboratory/classroom session ages 11-15 $TBA *max 12*
April 9 - Horne Lake Caves - caving experiences and geology lessons *max 12*

Campfire Evenings
Need a dinner date night? Let your Shoots hang out with SwR friends around the 'campfire' (faux) in the SwR Ursus Den watching earth themed movies and working on fun crafts and activities

Ursus Den Overnight
Shoots share a potluck plant supper and evening garden and woodland activities before settling in to the SwR Ursus Den for a night of games, flicks, stories and slumber
