Overview

Take a step back in time to discover the unique heritage home and unspoiled natural beauty found within the 70 acre Milner Gardens and Woodland. Stroll through the forest to the woodland garden with its Rhododendron lined glades carpeted with cyclamen, trillium and other indigenous pants.

Experience the 10 acre artist's garden surrounding the historic Milner house situated atop an Oceanside bluff. Enjoy afternoon tea in the Milner House where Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Princess Diana once visited. Savor the spectacular tree framed views of Georgia Strait dotted with its islands and backdrop of distant coastal mountains.

     Open 10:00am to 5:00pm, last entry at 4:30pm

April 1 - April 30 Thursday through Sunday and Holiday Mondays


May 1 to September 6 - Open 7 days a week


September 9 to October 11 - Thursday through Sunday and Holiday Mondays

Support Services

 

  • Group lunches available by special arrangement.
  • Free parking for 65 cars and 3 tour buses.
  • Shuttle carts in and out of the Garden if required. The Garden is 400m or 1/4 mile through old growth forest from parking.
  • Guided tours on request for groups of 10 to multiples of 15.
  • Afternoon tea in the historic Milner House, 1-4 pm (capacity 40). Group reservations available.
  • Refreshments and baked goods at the Pool House Gift Shop. Table seating for 40 people.
  • Nursery sells plants propagated on site and the Gift Shop offers a selection of books, seed, posters, mugs and clothing.
  • Washroom facilities at parking area, Gift Shop and Main House, including handicap.
  • Limited handicap accessibility on gravel roads and paths. Paved area around Pool House Gift Shop with wheelchair ramps and covered seating.
