Welcome to the Faculty of Trades and Applied Technology at Vancouver Island University.  You have become a part of a dynamic learning community.  At VIU we offer training in 16 program areas leading to journey person certification, certificate and diploma credentials. 

We work closely with industry to ensure that our curriculum meets the highest standards for skills and knowledge that will prepare you for employment in your chosen career.  You will have an opportunity to learn in our classrooms, shops and lab facilities.  Our highly skilled instructors and staff will give you a hands-on experience that will prepare you for a placement in the workplace.  Our entire faculty team is dedicated to supporting your success and ensuring that you have a positive learning experience.
