Ray(Qwulshemut) Peter.

Oftentimes, you will see Uncle Ray laughing amongst the students, telling jokes and funny stories. Uncle Ray comes from Cowichan Tribes and is very knowledgeable in local traditions. He is mostly involved with the Third and Fourth year BAFN classes, but will pop his head into First and Second year classes from time to time. Uncle also heads a Tzinqwa Dance Group out of Duncan, and we can all attest to his beautiful singing voice. Ray actively participates in his culture and traditions, and never lets us forget that while he is an Elder, he is continually learning as well.
