Bids & Prizes Wanted for VIU's Online Alumni Auction
From Nov. 18- 27, VIU's annual Alumni Auction will be live, giving you the opportunity to bid on great prizes that include tickets to the Canucks vs the Kings in a private box suite; two nights at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge; yoga classes and poker lessons. All proceeds go to support awards, scholarships and bursaries for VIU students. For more information check out the Festival of Trees website at www.viu.ca/festival. Education provides life-long boost to VIU alumni
VIU automotive student Sophie Cloutier, 17, was delighted to meet Arthur Baker, 90, who graduated from the automotive mechanics program in 1939. Baker, considered one of VIU's oldest alumni, was a special guest at VIU's 75th anniversary festivities for students, staff and faculty recently held on the Nanaimo campus. Full Story.
