Renew with VIU Campaign
One of the goals of VIU's Alumni Association is to reconnect with alumni who may have lost touch with the institution after they graduated. To help us do that we've started a Renew with VIU Campaign to encourage all of our graduates to register with the Alumni Association. For more information please go to the Renew with VIU website.

 New Campus for Cowichan
Students in Cowichan walked through the doors of a new campus on September 6, 2011. The new building is one of the most sustainable on Vancouver Island and features state-of-the art science and computer labs and classrooms as well as environmentally friendly features such as a solar heating system supplying hot water, a high-efficiency geothermal heating and cooling system and a rooftop garden which helps cool the building and decrease storm run-off. more

VIU Says "No" to Bottled Water An initiative spearheaded by VIU's Student Union (VIUSU) will see VIU become the first university in BC to ban the bottle -- plastic water bottles that is. VIUSU, with the full support of VIU's faculty and staff, hope to make VIU's campuses bottled-water free by June 2012. more |
