Up until April 1, 2011, we'll be accepting nominations for Alumni Association board member positions. If you'd like to make a difference in the lives of your fellow alumni then please click here to get the full scoop on what it means to be a VIU Alumni Association board member. You'll also find information on how to nominate someone for a board position or how to self-nominate.

Half Price Business Breakfast Tickets
VIU's Business Breakfast raises funds for student scholarships, awards and bursaries and this year you won't want to miss it.
Why? The Alumni Association is sponsoring a table so tickets are half price - only $25. Enjoy a gourmet breakfast courtesy of VIU's talented culinary students, mingle with other community members and hear inspiring stories from students who have received scholarships, awards and bursaries. Regular tickets at a cost of $50 are also still available. Interested? Mark your calendars for 7-9am, March 10, 2011, then email us at alumni@viu.ca.

 Calling All Golfers
The Alumni Association would like to have an alumni team in the VIU Mariners Golf Tournament, on April 8, 2011. Golfers will be teeing off at the Nanaimo Golf Club at 1:30pm.The cost is $150/person and includes your own personal caddie (one of VIU's student athletes) and dinner in the clubhouse restaurant. Proceeds support VIU's athletes - last year $24,000 was raised. Interested players can contact the Alumni Office at alumni@viu.ca. |
