Festival of Trees

The Festival of Trees is a Vancouver Island University Nanaimo Campus Christmas Celebration. Outdoors, the centre of the campus is illuminated with thousands of Christmaslights; and indoors the main cafeteria is transformed with festive Christmas trees and decorations.

The Festival program includes seven events: including an elegant Gala night, a Festival luncheon, and fun filled family days, bringing upwards of 3,000 visitors to campus and raising funds for student scholarships, awards and bursaries.

Alumni Family Days ...

Be sure to join the Alumni Relations Team on both Nov. 25 and Dec. 2 for a great afternoon of festive fun with the 3rd Annual Alumni Relations Family Day. All activities are taking place at the Main Cafeteria at Malaspina University, Nanaimo Campus. Free parking is in effect during that time.

• Entertainment
• Santa’s Photos
• Refreshments and Goodies
• Festive Trees and Christmas Raffle

Both Family Days run on Saturday November 25 from noon to 5 pm and Saturday December 2 from noon to 5 pm. Admission by donation which supports student scholarships, awards and bursaries.
