Teacher Leadership Graduate Diploma
Program Length: Two years part–time
Fees: Enhanced tuition fees of $400 per credit; 15 credits
The Program
This Graduate Diploma in Teacher Leadership provides a program of leadership development for practicing teachers. Developed in collaboration with the eleven school districts in the Island Leadership Coalition (ILC), this program expands on the ILC's Passport to Leadership program to further develop individual, school and school district leadership capacity. Diploma graduates may enter the Master of Education in Educational Leadership program with 15 graduate credits completed.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this program will be well–poised to assume formal and informal leadership positions in the education sector. School districts in the Island Leadership Coalition will be well aware of the skills and attitudes which participants have developed.
Admission Requirements
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree with a cumulative grade point average of "B" in the final two years.
- Two years successful teaching experience.
- Participation in the Island Leadership Coalition's Passport to Leadership program, or permission of the Dean.

Program Outline
Students will, over a two year period, develop an e–portfolio which demonstrates their mastery of program outcomes and competencies. Successful completion and presentation of their portfolio will result in course credit for the following:
