Continuing Education
Since its inception, Vancouver Island University has demonstrated a strong commitment to, and innovative approaches in working with businesses and communities to meet the occupational and personal continuing education needs of adult learners throughout the region. Through its efforts, the institution serves thousands of life-long learners, from teens to elders, each year.
Continuing Education provides several key services:
- Continuing Education courses for career and personal interest.
- ElderCollege, a selection of courses at preferential rates for participants aged 55 and over.
- Customized Contract Training, tailored to meet the needs of businesses and organizations, and support to regional social and economic development initiatives.

Regional Campuses and Centre
Vancouver Island Universitys Cowichan and Powell River Campuses, and ParksvilleQualicum Centre each maintain an active Continuing Education office that serves the life-long learning needs of its surrounding communities and collaborates with other institutional partners to identify and address the educational needs of these areas. These offices reflect the institutions ongoing commitment to timely, locally-based program delivery.
