The Program
The Health Services Administration in Long Term and Community Care program (formerly called Continuing Health Care Administration Diploma program) is composed of twenty online courses and provides a conceptual background for the increasingly complex managerial tasks that need to be performed in long term and community care organizations. Students can register in the program on a full- or part-time basis, undertaking three to four courses per semester over a total of six semesters.
Career Opportunities
The program prepares its graduates for employment in private and public long term care facilities, as well as in home support organizations. The diploma in Health Services Administration in Long Term and Community Care program is designed to prepare students for a career in long term and community care service delivery at the managerial level.
Admission Requirements
- General admission requirements apply.
- English 12 with minimum C grade, or equivalent.
- A minimum C grade in one of Principles of Mathematics 11, Applications of Mathematics 11, Foundations of Mathematics 11, or equivalent.
- A letter outlining goals and objectives for wanting to complete the program.
Notes on Admission
- These requirements may be waived if a student has successfully completed a college or university program with similar entrance requirements, or if employment experience warrants an exception.
- Admission is open to those employed in the continuing health care field.

Graduation Requirements
A minimum average of 60 percent for the assignments in a course is a prerequisite to write the final exam. A minimum Grade Point Average of 2.0 (C) is required to graduate.
