- Initial Consultation & Advice
- Development of Training Program
- Pre-Program Fitness Test
- 4 Week Evaluation and Program Modification
- Final 8 week Assessment
- Post -Program Fitness Test
- 2-3 One Hour Training Sessions
- On-going advice throughout the 8 week program

Fitness Testing $20
Vancouver Island University now uses state of the art technology called Microfit Health Wizard to conduct all our fitness testing. When you come in you will receive a print out of your test results and we will store it in our database for future use and comparison. Come in and set up an appointment to test out your health and fitness! The fitness testing includes: (each test can be done separately)- Blood Pressure
- Resting heart rate
- Body fat percentage
- Aerobic Fitness (Sub V02 max test)
- Flexibility
- Muscular Strength
- Muscular Endurance
Free Nutrition Services
We can help you analyze your dietary intake and customize your meal plans to tailor your nutritional needs. Looking to lose or gain weight? We can help. Come in and discuss your queries with our nutritional specialists. An initial half hour consultation can be booked to gather diet information and goals. Furthermore, a follow up consultation will be booked to discuss the findings of the nutritional analysis and meal plan organization.Please call 740-6429 or email michael.james @viu.ca

Does your school or work schedule not fit into our scheduled fitness classes? Don't miss your workout... why not try one of your favourite workout routines led by a video instructor. Choose from Yoga, Boot Camp, Swiss Ball, Step Aerobics, Ab workouts or a variety of Pilates Tapes, or even bring your own favourite. There are also a number of Weight instruction videos that you can sign out and view. Call the Gym at local 740-6418 to check the multipurpose TV room schedule, then sign out a video at the Gym Office with your student card.Heart Rate Monitors
Let us assist you in your personal fitness and performance goals by borrowing our heart rate monitor. You can choose the functions that suit you best: calorie calculation, timers, lap information, heart rate zones.
