Snow Shoe Day Trip

Spend the day learning the technique snow shoeing on the spectacular trails of Mount Washington Resort. Snow shoeing is considered by many to be one of the most complete exercises you can do and to top it off. . . it's a ton of fun! Sign up early, this will fill up fast. Cost includes all equipment, trail pass and transportation. No experience necessary. Proper clothing required.

Cross Country Ski Day Trip

Ready, set, glide! An introduction to cross country skiing on the groomed and marked trails of Mount Washington Resort. Enjoy great exercise and spectacular views on this day trip. Cost includes all equipment, trail pass and transportation. Proper clothing is required.

Back Country Skiing

The perfect way to experience nature. Instruction for back country skiing with light touring gear. Avalanche terrian identification and tour. Previous skiing experience recommended but not required. Back Country Skiing Video Clip

Telemark Ski Lessons - NEW

It is also known as "free heel skiing". Unlike Alpine skiiing equipment, the skis used for telemarking have a binding that only connects the boot to the ski at the toes, just as in cross country skiing. Try out this backcountry skiiing and be part of the telemark revival! Lessons will be held at Mt. Washington.

Avalanche Awareness Training

This program is a basic course that explores the avalanche phenonmenon. Travel up to Mt. Washington and make use of an already established camp. Use avalance beacons and make snow shelters. Spend a day practicing avalanche rescue scenarios, go on a short tour and look at avalanche terrain, and learn about some basic slope stability tests. This is very informative and full of useful information. Participants need to be prepared for the winter environment.
