Bridge Watch Rating Program

12 week Full-time Non-Credit Certificate Program

The Bridge Watch Rating Program is ideal for those who have little to no marine experience but would like to work in the marine industry, initially as a deck hand.

Career Opportunities:

This program is a good way to get started with the tug boat industry, the Coast Guard and passenger ferries. Demand for entry-level marine workers is high as older workers retire and the industry expands.

Program Content:

The program consists of the following courses:

  • Marine Basic First Aid
  • STCW Basic Safety
  • Restricted Operator Certificate: Maritime Commercial
  • Bridge Watch Rating
  • Med B1 - Survival Craft
