Part-time Online Certificate Program
Attend a FREE Information Session
Gain the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in entry-level and intermediate-level
positions in public or private recreation and tourism agencies. It is also
an opportunity for upgrading and certification for practitioners currently
working in the field. The program was developed in collaboration with the
Tourism Educators Consortium of BC.
Career Opportunities:
Graduates of the program will possess skills and knowledge for work as event planners, conference planners/managers, convention coordinators, festival and special events organizers, meeting and trade show planners.

- Introduction to Tourism
- Introduction to Special Events Management
- Celebrating Community and Culture
- Event Volunteer Management
- Event Law and Risk Management
- Event Marketing
Course Delivery:
The program will be delivered part-time in an “online” format to meet student and industry needs.
