Issues In Not-For-Profit Management 

This UT credit course is designed to introduce students to the areas of responsibility of managers of not-for-profit organizations, and is intended to provide a broad overview of the management challenges of the not-for-profit sector. Topics include scope and function of the not-for-profit sector, an overview of the unique features of financial management, human resources management, strategic planning, and marketing functions relative to the not-for-profit sector. Specific issues are emphasized, such as accountability, board selection, volunteer management, fundraising and social entrepreneurship.

Developed by the BC Centre for Non Profit Management, this course may be taken for credit or with an audit option.
