Take any academic course without the stress of exams or assignments - simply for the love of learning. If you want to take a university course, but you don’t need a grade or the credit , enrol to gain access to a wide selection of courses at only $99 per 3-credit course plus student society and activity fees.
Take a course in arts, philosophy, humanities, social sciences, liberal arts, english literature, business, science or technology. The Love of Learning program is open to all adults who have completed grade 12 English or equivalent. You’ll love it!
It's easy to get started:
- Fill out an application to VIU Love Of Learning and include the $35 application fee. Students should have completed grade 12 or equivalent.
- View the current semester's timetable and select courses of interest.
- Register for the courses that interest you using your Love of Learning student number.

- Courses are subject to availability.
- $99 Tuition fee applies per 3 credit course and student society and activity fees apply per semester.
