Work Placements Job Application Procedures

Applying for Co-op Jobs

  • A resume should be included with each application submitted; be sure the Company name is on cover letter and has correct spelling; Remember to sign your cover letter.
  • Students must submit resume/cover letter to Co-op office by 12:00 noon on the specified deadline date (unless otherwise noted). The Co-op office will not guarantee late applications will arrive at their destination on time. If deadline is ASAP, Immediate or open, Co-op office will fax resumes/cover letters as received.
  • As Co-op office will proof-read resume/cover letter, it would be advisable to submit application in advance to allow time to make any necessary changes.
  • The Co-op office will provide any Co-op related photocopying, telephoning or faxing. Please inquire at the Co-op office.

Applying for Jobs on Own

  • The Co-op office will fax or mail applications for jobs that students find on their own.
  • If being faxed, please make sure the correct fax number is written on the back of application.
  • If being mailed, student must supply and address envelope. The co-op office will provide postage.

Approved Co-op Placement

  • Once your Co-op Placement has been approved by the Co-op Office, please provide the position details to the Co-op Office using the Co-op Work Placement Form here.
