The Deep Bay Marine Field Station is the only facility of its kind in Canada that is designed not only for scientific research, but also integrates industry training, community outreach, public engagement, tourism, and marketing. By clustering research and training programs with innovative economic, environmental and social programming into one unique, world-class facility, we have created a centre of excellence and innovation that accelerates industry growth and economic sustainability, while at the same time achieving the social acceptance necessary to provide opportunities for growth.
