Public Education

The Marine Science Center offers public interpretive displays, aquariums, touch tanks and culinary seafood seminars to promote kindergarten to grade 12 learning experiences and community outreach. The Field Station promotes sustainable development, food production and the integrated use of a healthy marine environment.

Programs ranging from 1 hour tours to researched-based sleep-overs, can be arranged for shcool and community groups that focus on marine science, conservation and sustainablilty.

The vessel MV "Chetlo" is available for environmental monitoring and other marine activities and tours. Access to the sea shore enables beach walks and species observations and identification.
