Training

The Marine Field Station will include classrooms and seminar rooms to deliver on-site training. In addition to university programs, training offered through the Marine Field Station will include:

- the Coastal Citizen’s Shellfish Aquaculture Training program which focusses on adult learners who retain more through training that incorporates “Learn–by-Doing”and

- FLOW- Future Leaders On the Water, a First Nations Youth Leadership Shellfish program for young adults, plus others. .

The availability of a working shellfish farm and beach operation provides a tremendous opportunity to immediately link classroom concepts to a real-world setting.
