Our People and Facilities

The VIU Earth Science Department is made up of a small group of dedicated faculty and staff who are committed to student-centered education.  Our small class sizes offer opportunities for lots of student-instructor interaction and individual instruction time. 

The Earth Science Department has a lab and a prep room that are dedicated to teaching geology.  We also have a large collection of rocks, minerals and fossils, and lots of opportunities to get outside and relate what is taught in the class to the real world.
