Students

Students who have, or who are, completing a Minor in Earth Science are doing so in combination with a variety of different programs

* Angela Mays has recently completed her Minor in Earth Science with a BA in Geographpy, and is the first student to obtain the minor! Angela is now working within the planning department of a local government and has expertise in municipal waste management. Angela plans to continue her work in the environmental sciences.

* Lorill Ireland is fascinated by the importance of geology to all aspects of life on Earth and has completed a Minor in Earth Science with a BA Major in Liberal Studies. She also participated ina research project on the impacts of climate change on the groundwater resources of Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

* Natalie Cielanga completed a BSc Double Minor in Chemistry and Earth Science. Natalie has recently being working on a gas monitoring project for a local solid-waste disposal site. She is is now completing a BEd and plans to be a science teacher at a secondary school.
