Changes to our First Year Course Offerings
Beginning in September 2011 we are changing our first year course offerings so that students using our courses as electives will find the course work managable and students completing a minor in Earth Science will gain more field and hands-on experience during their first year of study. We are paring back the lab component of GEOL 111 and GEOL 112 and adding a first year lab course, GEOL 115, that is intended for Earth Science Minor students.
Students who have completed GEOL 111 and GEOL 112 prior to September 2011 will not need to complete GEOL 115, but anyone starting out in Earth Sciences this year will need to finish GEOL 115 before they can register in our second year courses. For more information click here.
