Our Access Initiative:

Vancouver Island University's Faculty of Education Access Initiative is designed to give access to individuals who are members of groups in our society that have historically been under-represented in the teaching profession in B.C. In order to achieve this objective, we encourage applicants who have confronted identifiable barriers to post-secondary education to apply under the Access Initiative. All applicants for the Vancouver Island University Teacher Education Program must submit a Personal Profile. Applicants who wish to apply under the Access Initiative may identify themselves on the Personal Profile form and must complete pages 4-5 of the Personal Profile (pages for providing the Access Initiative information) to be considered under the Access Initiative.
