About Curriki
Curriki is an online community & resource for sharing educational materials as well as a non-profit organization. Curriki began it's existence as a project of Sun Microsystem called the Global Education and Learning Community (GELC) project. "Curriki" is a word combining the structure of the platform--a 'wiki'--and what it shares--'curriculum'.

How Do I Create an Account & Join a Group?
Create Curriki Account
Go to http://www.curriki.org
At the top, click on "Become a Member"
Complete the required information to set up your account:
Be sure to scroll to the bottom. Read the Privacy Policy & Terms of Use, then click in the "I agree" box & the "Save Information & Register" button as below:
Joining VIU Faculty of Education Groups:
Groups may be "open" so that anyone can join, or "closed". If you have the URL of the Group & it is "open", go to the URL, scroll to the bottom of the page, & click on "Join this Group".
If you are not logged into your account you will see this prompt to login:
Next, you will be asked to provide information & set your preferences for this group. When finished be sure to click the "Join" button at the bottom of the screen.

Finding Groups
Curriki has a variety of resources for teachers. If you would like to search for an existing group using keywords, login to Curriki, click on "Connect"
then on "Browse Groups by Subject"
Select your subject heading from the provided choices (e.g."Education" )
Refine your search using the Search function as below. You can add search terms, change groups, specify levels, languages, etc.
Enter "Vancouver Island University" as search terms to find the most upto date listing of Vancouver Island University Curriki groups.
