- Mapping a Network Drive (PC): useful when you need to map to your U: drive (virtual drive with your name) either at VIU or home; your U: drive can be used as a virtual storage/backup for your important files so you can access them from campus or anywhere--as long as you map the drive!; useful to map to any shared drive.
