The Engineering Fair
The Engineering Fair is a popular event hosted by the Department of Physics and Engineering throughout: High school students from Nanaimo and the surrounding area are invited to participate in an all day event which includes an introduction to the Engineering profession and an outline of the path that students can follow to become engineers. The main attraction, however, is the siege engine building competition: The students, in teams, design and build siege engines and then compete in a competition which tests the accuracy of their designs.
