VIU is a co-sponsor of Bike to Work Week Nanaimo.

VIUSU Annual Broom Bust

Scotch Broom was introduced to Vancouver Island in 1850. Since then it has wreaked havoc on the natural ecosystem. Join the movement to eliminate scotch broom permanently!
We will be busting broom at the top of the Nanaimo VIU campus, by building 395. Register at the VIUSU bldg 193 or show up at the broom busting site ready for action.
Cutting tools will be supplied, gloves are recommended.
All Students are welcome!

Consider the VIU/VIMGA Master Gardener Basic Training Program, offered at VIU for 12 Saturdays starting September 15 - December 8, 2012.
The course is based on the original, authentic Master Gardener program from Washington State University, 30 years strong.
