INTRODUCTION
The Gathering Place at VIU will provide a special place for VIU’s aboriginal students, Services for Aboriginal Students and our community partners. The Gathering Place will be modeled in the Coast Salish tradition with modern finishes and designed as a welcoming place for all others who come to VIU. While ceremonial space will be small, approximately 1500 square feet, it will be used for small gatherings and sharing of culture and traditions in an educational setting.
