From Rainforest to Reef - 2011 Annual Applied Biology Confererence May 4-7 in Nanaimo - There will also be a non-commercial poster space available to showcase applied biology-related research projects. Faculty or students are encouraged to take part.

FFSBC SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY!
The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC ( www.gofishbc.com ) is offering two scholarships this year, with a value up to $2000 each. They are available to students enrolled in a fish culture or fisheries management program within a recognized post-secondary educational institution in British Columbia. Applications are being accepted up to April 30, 2010. The specific requirements are available at: http://www.gofishbc.com/community.htm.

Apply for graduation: All students graduating from the diploma programs this April will have to apply for graduation. Here is the form - just follow the directions.
Professional Memberships: It is advisable to become a member of a few professional organizations in your chosen field of fisheries and aquaculture. All have student rates for membership. Some suggestions are:

- Aquaculture Association of Canada
- BC Shellfish Growers Association
- American Fisheries Society
