Incoming Outstanding Student Initiative
The INCOMING OUTSTANDING STUDENT (IOS) initiative provides full access to classes for the strongest applicants who are entering post-secondary studies for the first time. If you qualify, you do not want to miss this opportunity to be awarded the highest priority for a registration appointment, which should ensure access to all first year courses.
Apply by APRIL 13th, 2012
For students applying to the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Business Administration programs your high school transcript must show a minimum of three “A” grades and one “B” grade. These grades must be attained in English 11, plus three additional Grade 11 courses, selected from the following list:
- Mathematics 11 (Principles, Applications, Pre-calculus, or Foundations)
- Social Studies 11, Civic Studies 11, or First Nations Studies 11
- Biology 11
- Chemistry 11
- Physics 11
- Earth Science 11
- Information Technology 11
- a Ministry-approved second language course 11 (not a beginner’s level)
For students applying to the Bachelor of Science program your high school transcript must show a minimum of three “A” grades and one “B” grade. These grades must be attained in English 11, plus three additional Grade 11 courses, selected from the following list:
- Mathematics 11 (Principles, Applications, Pre-calculus, or Foundations)
- Biology 11
- Chemistry 11
- Physics 11
- Earth Science 11
- Information Technology 11
