Advanced Diploma in GIS Applications
Students have the option of taking VIU’s Advanced Diploma in GIS Applications (ADGISA) program either face-to-face or online. The face-to-face option is an intensive, 8 month program where students have the opportunity to interact with instructors in a classroom setting and engage in a 3 month practicuum. The online option is a sixteen-month distance education program, designed to meet the needs of working professionals and students unable to relocate to Nanaimo. The next start date for the online ADGISA program is January 2010. Applications for the September 2010 face-to-face option are now being accepted. Qualified applicants are approved on a first-come-first served basis. Seats are limited to 20 students in this program so, if interested, apply as soon as possible.
