Fundraising

As the primary fundraising arm of the university, the office is responsible for supplementing government funds for capital projects and for generating contributions to assist students. The Development & Alumni Office collaborates with other VIU units and coordinates all fundraising activities to generate maximum benefit for the university and its students.

Friend-raising

Through programs of engagement and partnership, the Alumni Association seeks to increase membership in the VIU Alumni Association and to enhance the university's relationship with its alumni and friends worldwide by personal networking, electronic and print communications, and special events.
