Newsletter - The Tablet
Collaborative Partner Newsletter Has a Name
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Collaborative Partner Newsletter has a new name, The Tablet, courtesy of our practice partner Barbara Metcalfe. As you know a Tablet can refer to a few things. First, we think of a medicinal tablet. According to Taber’s Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary a tablet is “a small disc like mass of medicinal powder,” while Wikepedia notes that “in the tablet-pressing process, it is important that all ingredients be fairly dry, powdered or granular.” In our newsletter we plan to give you bite size pieces of information but avoid being too dry and gritty. The Tablet is also a computing device, and has its niche with medical professionals. The Tablet is like a clipboard with a pen attached by a length of string. The Tablet is used to collect and share information. Our Tablet will also collect and share information with practice partners. Lastly, a Tablet is also an original Scottish confectionery, made with sugar, butter and condensed milk. Sweet to be sure! We hope you find this newsletter sweet and not as corny as this article. Many thanks to all those who entered our contest. Congratulations to Barbara Metcalfe.
