British Columbia newspapers, and a collection of newspaper clippings known as the Vertical Files, are veritable "gold mines," in terms of the historical information they contain. But finding a way into the mines is not always easy, and once inside, the nuggets of information may be difficult to find.
These pages are intended to help researchers find their way into the Vertical Files by using available indexes and subject listings. These pages also offer a few tips and "how-to" steps, so that researchers can quarry the Vertical Files and related records easily and efficiently.
