Teaching Tips from the Trenches
Background
In November 2011, faculty submitted teaching tips to share with colleagues through a Teaching Tips from the Trenches event. 25 instructors submitted tips that encompassed a wide range of topics and ideas. All the tips are accessible on this website on the "Examples" page (see left menu item).
Those tips were then fashioned into postcard-sized tip sheets, designed with images and colours and are presented through a scrollable viewing environment. Upon clicking on your choice of tip, you can view both the front photo and backside instructions - all with a PDF icon for ease in printing. Printed copies of 20 of the tips were made available in a special box edition. Each instructor who participated will receive a box set in the interoffice mail.
In the Fall of 2012, Teaching Tips from the Trenches will be operating again. Look forward to submitting your tip and have it published. Thank you for making this activity possible. VIU has many teaching tips to share with colleagues!
