The AquaPort project is a knowledge mobilization initiative to develop an online portal for the Canadian aquaculture sector. It is an example of the interdisciplinary and multi-institutional work in which the Faculty of Management is taking the lead.

Putting knowledge to work: Research and Consulting

We are fortunate here at VIU to have a vibrant mix of faculty who are engaged in a broad range of research and consulting activities related to their disciplines and professional backgrounds.

We know how vital it is that students in a management faculty get real-world experience and first hand exposure to business issues and problems. However, we feel that it is equally important that the management expertise and research strength of our faculty is made available to the business community in a meaningful fashion. We achieve these objectives by involving students in research and knowledge mobilization projects, and by engaging in applied business and management research and consulting activities.
