Dr. Alex Tsisserev
Dr. Tsisserev is a composer, producer, speaker and sonic branding architect. Alex received his doctorate in music education at age 27 and soon after joined the music department of Vancouver Island University. He is an accomplished pianist who specializes in music composition. Dr. Tsisserev has been a staff writer/producer with Sony Music Publishing and Warner Chappell Music Publishing and has had his original compositions featured in releases with Universal, Dreamworks, Disney, SonyBMG, E! Television, Lifetime and many others. Dr. Tsisserev has also composed for Ballet British Columbia, Ballet Jazz of Montreal and California Dance Theatre. He is now carving a new path as a sonic branding architect whereby he creates musical personalities for a wide variety of brands. Alex's flagship project came in the form of customizing soundscapes for six Olympic Village venues in Vancouver and Whistler for the 2010 Winter Olympics and he was delighted to collaborate with the Vancouver Olympic Committee on such an unprecedented project. Dr. Tsisserev and his two sons, Leo and Evan, live in Furry Creek, BC.
