Fisheries Mapping Procedures

Description:

A 1.5 day practical review of standard fisheries mapping procedures common to fish and fish habitat inventory and assessiment projects in Western Canada. Participants learn to geo-reference information, delineate watershed boundaries, determine reach breaks and stream orderings plot fisheries data onto maps, and interpret air photos.

Objective:

This course will provide participants with basic knowledge of fish and fish habitat mapping and project planning requirements.

Prerequisites:

None.
