Stream Crossing Assessment
Description:
A
comprehensive two-day review of fish passage requirements, stream crossing
types, assessment and monitoring procedures, and restoration or mitigation
procedures. Participants complete standard fish passage-culvert inspection
procedures; identifying limiting factors and developing site prescriptions
and recommendations.
Objective:
This program will train personnel to be capable to conduct advanced stream crossing assessments, monitoring activities, as well as prescribe culvert restoration or mitigation options.
Prerequisites:
None. Ideally, participants have current and valid Electrofishing certification.
You Supply:
Leak-proof chestwaders, polarized sunglasses, hat with a brim, wading belt, non-slip footwear, appropriate personal field wear (e.g., rain jacket, etc.).
