To Be Or Not To Be: A Critical Appraisal Of The Welfare Of Children Conceived Through New Reproductive Technologies.
Over three million children are believed to have been born worldwide as a result of "new reproductive technologies". This presentation will review the proposition that children are always best-served by being born. It will argue that there are defensible welfare arguments curtailing unrestricted access to NRTs, but that all incursions into adults' reproductive autonomy need to be justified.
