Welcome Centre, Building 300

The Welcome Centre is located on the main floor of Building 300, beside the cafeteria and is staffed with two Customer Service Representatives who are available in-person from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and by phone from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. The Customer Service Representatives are available to assist with general queries about Vancouver Island University and how to access our programs and services. Parking at VIU's Nanaimo Campus

• All parking at VIU's Nanaimo Campus is paid parking 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• You car will be ticketed if you do not have proper payment showing. Bring coins (quarters, loonies, and toonies) and MasterCard/VISA credit cards to pay for parking.
• Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis and fills up early in the morning, with spots opening up throughout the day.
• Refer to VIU's Campus Map for General Parking areas (the link to the Nanaimo Campus Map is on the left side of this web page). You will see them coded in yellow as per the legend on the right side of the map.
• Purchase a ticket at one of the dispensers and place the ticket on your dashboard. You can purchase as many hours as you need for your visit.
• There are many General Parking areas but they do fill up quickly. Print off the campus map so you know your other choices.

Transit to VIU's Nanaimo Campus

• Buses travel to and from VIU's Nanaimo Campus on a regular basis.

While at VIU's Nanaimo Campus, you may like to take advantage of some of our services (http://www.viu.ca/foodservices).

• Building 300 is home to the popular main Cafeteria with a wide variety of food selections, drinks, meals and sandwiches. Lunch service is from 11:30 - 1:00 p.m.
• Building 185 (Lower Cafeteria) boasts many tasty treats and meals. Enjoy one of VIU's famous wood fire pizzas! Lunch service is from 11:30 - 1:00 p.m.
• The Java Hut and Subway are other popular campus destinations.
• VIU's premiere restaurant, the Discovery Room, is also located in Building 300. Reservations are recommended (Phone 250.740.6338).
