Adult Basic Education
While many students want just the courses that will allow them to continue post-secondary studies, others want a Provincial Diploma for work or personal satisfaction.
The Parksville/Qualicum Centre offers courses toward an Adult Provincial Diploma. Students seeking a Provincial Diploma require English 12 and Math 11 plus 3 additional Grade 12 level courses or two Grade 12 level courses and Social Studies 11.
General Educational Development Test (GED)
The G.E.D. examinations are written through the Ministry of Education at the Nanaimo Campus. Applications and workbooks are available at the Parksville•Qualicum Centre. Five tests [English, social studies, science, reading and math], toward a Grade 12 equivalency certificate, can be written on six dates throughout the year.
