Foundation Committee

The P•Q Centre Foundation Committee was inaugurated in September 1994 to support Vancouver Island University in the attainment of its goals, and is legally registered as a charitable Society. The Directors of the Foundation volunteer their expertise to develop, foster and encourage public knowledge and awareness of the institution and its work.

The Parksville•Qualicum Foundation Committee works to raise funds to purchase new equipment for students at VIU’s Parksville•Qualicum Centre.

Thanks to the efforts of this committee, the Parksville•Qualicum Centre now has two Pentium computer labs. Because of this, we have been able to expand our range of computer program offerings, serve a greater number of students, and integrate computer training in all our curriculum.
