Open to All Students
Michael L. Warsh Law Corporation Award
Michael L. Warsh Law Corporation Award recognizes outstanding research in any of the following: independent research supervised by a faculty member; an independent project undertaken for credit, e.g. under the 491 code; research undertaken as a Work-Opportunities student; financially supported or pro bono research as part of a faculty member’s project, or any other similar project. The Award is targeted to a student who intends to pursue post-graduate studies, and who will be entering her/his last two semesters of their programme. Student Travel and Conference Fund and the Jessica Wilde Conference Participation Fund
This award is available to students who are seeking financial support to participate in conferences, workshops and colloquia related to their studies at VIU. Health Research
CIHR Health Professional Undergraduate Student Research Awards (HPSRA)

Hannah Studentship Award
Hannah Studentship Award gives students the opportunity to study and learn the techniques of historical research and to encourage future serious study of medical history. The studentship is being administered in partnership with the Canadian Society for the History of Medicine (CSHM) which is responsible for adjudicating the applications. NSERC Industrial Student Research Award
These awards are meant to stimulate your interest in research in the natural sciences and engineering. They are also meant to encourage you to undertake graduate studies and to pursue a research career in these fields. Royal Canadian Geographical Society Awards
The Royal Canadian Geographical Society
annually presents awards to deserving individuals in business, government,
academia or community organizations whose innovative contributions to environmental
change are benefiting Canada and Canadians. The awards the Society bestows

Medal and the Canadian
Award for Environmental Innovation.
