How to Find: the Research & Scholarly Activity Office, The Institute for Coastal Research and the research meeting rooms.
The Research & Scholarly Activity Office is located in the Institute for Coastal Research Facilities on the 4th floor of Building 305. Funding for the construction of the Institute for Coastal Research (completed summer 2005) was provided by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and the BC Knowledge Development Fund to support research-related activities.

The easiest ways to access our offices in Building 305 are:

Enter through the main Library entrance (beneath the VIU Arbutus glass stencil); take the elevator around the corner on your left; choose the 4th floor; upon exiting elevator, turn to the right and enter through the maple/glass door (440). Our reception office is down the hallway on your right in Room 446.
OR
Take the stairway, to the left of the new Library entrance (beneath the overhead walkway); enter the building at the top; turn to your right and enter through the maple/glass door (440). Our reception office is down the hallway on your right in Room 446.
