2. The BC Student-Led Research Program

The BC Student-Led Research Program initiative connects the B.C. Government with university students and their professors to conduct research that addresses public policy issues. It provides students with unique opportunities to apply their research skills to challenges faced by government and encourages them to think of the public service as a place of employment.

3. The VIU Student Travel and Conference (STAC) Fund

The VIU Student Travel and Conference Fund is intended to support student participation at conferences, workshops and colloquia.

This is a fund administered by the VIU Student Union. The purpose is to fund VIU Students to present at conferences. Check the Student Union website for more information.

7. Warsh Law Corp Undergraduate Research Award

The Warsh Law Corp. Undergraduate Research Award recognizes outstanding research in any of the following: independent research supervised by a faculty member; an independent project undertaken for credit, e.g. under the 491 code; research undertaken as a Work-Opportunities student; financially supported or pro bono research as part of a faculty member’s project, or any other similar project. The Award is targeted to a student who intends to pursue post-graduate studies, and who will be entering her/his last two semesters of their programme in Fall 2008.
